Hi all, I have been viewing member tire setups over the past couple days and I just want to share some info I gathered along the way that helped me decide on my choice of setup.

I will be running the stock 20's on my Lariat Sport, FX4 with 2" ReadyLift leveling kit.

So I have been on the fence with these two tires and these two sizes and asked my dealers AutoGear guy to order both so I could get some side by side comparisons before I made my decision.

The left tire is a 275/65/20 Ridge Grappler
The right tire is a 295/60/20 TerraGrappler

I decided to go with the Terra Grapplers as I'm not loosing much diameter and I will get some more width, but it was close.

Here's a photo with the 2" ReadyLift with stock Hankooks.

This is basically how I want to go.
I have the same wheels and want to do a 2” Level with some beefier tires.

Looking forward to the pics!!
Good luck!

I will update tomorrow afternoon with the finished after photo with the Terra Grapplers........unless I change my mind last minute!
@trackstar1319 -

This should be an interesting comparison - not just because of the size difference but also because the Ridge Grapplers and Terra Grapplers are pretty different aggressive-looking tires with different characteristics.

As an aside, I too will be having my F-150 delivered with those Hankooks, perhaps the single-most disappointing thing about the 2021 F-150. Its ratings in off-road, in mud & snow, and rain are mediocre and they look really bland for an AT tire. IMHO, they look cheap - especially on a $50-$80k vehicle. It's no coincidence that so many people are upgrading to Nitto's, to Michelins, to KO2's, and other tires - with many people even keeping to the stock 33" diameters!

I plan to replace mine with KO2's but am still back-and-forth between dia/width's. I'm looking forward to your assessment and your pics!

Just got an update this morning. Here's the stock Hankooks vs the Terras. Wow, what a difference.

This looks perfect! I have roughly the same truck minus the FX4 package. I was looking in Nitto’s as well, except in 305/55r20. Just curious, what made you go Terra over Ridge?

Thanks man!

I decided on the Terras mainly because I was using the stock wheel and just a 2" level. Ultimately down the road a 3" full lift kit and larger wheel and tire set up might be the way I go. However for now I think the slightly less aggressive look of the Terras and them being about an inch wider really does the truck more Justice. I figure it's a good starting point till I can commit to going all the way.

Not sure of your specific use requirements but your other option is the Terra Grappler in 275/65R20 but in a NON-LT which would save some weight and probably increase MPG. The
Terra in 275/65R20 = 47.40
Terra in LT295/60R20 = 60.65
Ridge in LT275/65R20 = 60.85

I've looking at these for awhile while I waited on my truck - I now have my truck so need to decide soon interested to watch your results

Im having trouble finding websites with non LT tires in a 275/65/20. Even the Terras you mentioned I could only find a set that weighs 55lbs. Any suggestions on how/where to look for lighter rubbers?

With those tires being taller than the originals, I think you will need to get your speedometer recalibrated.

I'm curious if the Terra Grabbers actually needed the 2" lift to fit. Anyone have insights on this?
