First time post but I've lurked since last September when I first ordered my new F150. Just wanted to share my experience with 4wheelparts.com as I think this situation is one of those "nevers" (a situation that should never happen).
I purchased a brand new Borla Touring exhaust for my 2022 F150. Needless to say it was a pretty penny ($1400). I ordered it from 4wheelparts as they had a 10% off that basically payed for the taxes on my order. Well, I received the order and boy was I shocked to get a massive box that was absolutely demolished. My initial thought is "oh jesus, I know it's 85 pounds but FedEx absolutely destroyed this thing". Upon further examination I confirmed that the contents were in the same shape as the rest of the box, destroyed. The weirdest part was it wasn't crush destroyed it was like someone had resealed it and things were unwrapped and you could tell bolts had wear and the pipes were clearly not in shape that brand new stainless steel would be. That's when I made another interesting discovery: there was a freaking packing slip from someone else's order! It was a return slip that had a business address on it with a $953 retail price! WTF!
Essentially 4wheelparts sold this to a retail dealer/installer for $953 who clearly installed (maybe used????) the entire exhaust and then returned it only to be sold to me absolutely used and abused for a brand new $1400 price tag! I spent 45 minutes on the phone before emailing photos to a customer service rep who is blaming the shipper since the box was damaged. I straight up told them I don't buy it as I found their return paperwork and it's clear this was under someone's truck already and I'm returning this one and expect a hefty discount if they want to retain me as a customer and purchase ANOTHER new one.
Am I asking for too much? Will update once I hear back via email.
