My A/C is not working after BMS recall work, was working fine when I dropped it off. Service department said it is unrelated and will have to pay for repair. I also got a power train malfunction warning yesterday and called for that service and my dealer can’t get me into the “transmission shop” until July.

Sil-Ter-Har in Broomfield Colorado is my dealer and I’ve been really happy with them up until now but this series of events has me concerned because the call-taker in the Service Department is not all that knowledgeable and says things that are worrying. That leads me to my next recommendation for @Ford #Ford.

I think Ford needs to have a central service call number that is staffed by Lightning experts that work for Ford and are enthusiastic about debugging this product by acting as our advocate for service work with our local dealer when malfunctions outside of normal wear and tear items is needed. In other words, things that malfunction due to the new technology should be addressed outside the local service department environment that can leave many owners with a bad experience and not likely to recommend friends and family to buy a Lightning.

I know I have “sold” many lightnings in the 18 months I’ve owned mine, but lately I am adding the caution that there are service issues that come up and may be frustrating from time to time. In other words my “rating” has gone from A+ to B-

Back to my issues has anyone else lost A/C after the BMS fix? And also isn’t the tail-light condensation a warranty issue? My dealer says no but my turn signal blinks rapidly as if the lamp is blown but the actual turn signal is working normally.

I did my own BMS replacement, and my AC works fine, actually had the need for it the past couple of afternoons when it got warm.

Your 2022 Lightning [TAILGATE} lamp is the recall/TSB issue covered by Ford MoCo.

Turn signal lamp modules are not, other members have encountered cracked lens bodies, that lead to water issues, you might have that going on and short of an insurance claim for no fault accident / hit & run, or an oopsie I bumped into another object, the repair is your responsibility.

It sure sounds like your dealer is misinformed, or misleading you, on several issues ... beginning with the AC repair being your responsibility. Is your vehicle still under the basic warranty? Here is a forum link to the BEV Team number, which I recommend you call. Good Luck.

@Ford Motor Company, a reminder that our vehicles have FORD emblems on them and not dealership emblems.
