Hey everyone. I got my truck yesterday and am just delighted. It is so smooth, powerful and quiet. Ive already put it to work on my property and messing with the features. I couldn't be happier. I was one of the lucky few that got Fordpass app working before my truck left the factory. My blend date was 5/24. I saw it sit at the factory for a month then on the train and finally it sat waiting for the trucking company a full 2 weeks. I got into the habit of checking the location of that truck many times per day. On the app it tells you to get a status of your truck you need to wake it up by locking or unlocking the doors. I thought the app was glitchy to where I needed to go through a process of locking, unlocking, quiting the app, trying to update the app, etc... sometimes go through the process 3x just to get the truck to update location. Anyway, apparently at the trucking company they were ready to load my truck shortly after the truck got off the train but noticed that they thought the truck was possessed with the locking/unlocking of the doors. They notified the train company, who notified Ford, who put a hold on the truck. The tracker showed as delivered but the reality was it was "hold". There was one thought of sending the truck BACK to ford! All the while they didnt realize that that was me- getting gps updates from the truck. haha I was my own worst enemy.
So, anyway, be advised that if you also have the ability to "over the air" mess with your truck there may be some unintended consequences.
Also of a side note the truck STILL might be on hold if I hadn't started to track down the status by phone. I got Ford corporate who gave me the train customer service who eventually gave me the trucking company here in SOCAL. When i gave that guy my vin he was like, "oh, I know that truck. It has got some short where it locks and unlocks all by itself!. There is a hold on that truck by Ford, it might go back to the factory!" Imagine the dog crap I had to eat at that point. ;-)
