I have a 2023 F-150 Lightning XLT. It has heated seats, but not a heated steering wheel. Is it possible to add a heated wheel and get it activated? I'm sure the hardware would not be that hard. Just curious if anyone has done this.
Which XLT trim do you have? If you have a trim that was supposed to have it, you can have the Customer Satisfaction Program to add the free module to enable the heated wheel if you have the ER battery and/or the upgraded tech package with BlueCruise. It probably will show in your FordPass under the recalls/ CSP’s if this is available, otherwise this is a question for your dealer service department. If the upgrade is available to you, they have to make sure to order the appropriate module.
If you don’t qualify for the CSP to add it, there are options. All the way up to replacing the steering wheel and adding the appropriate module, but that’s probably a $1500 installation. vs. a heated wheel cover from AliExpress that’s probably $15.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the heated wheel from the factory. The wheel is available for about $250, but not sure what else I would need. One parts place said probably a clock spring and maybe a harness. They didn’t even mention a module, so I am not certain anyone knows all the parts needed to get it to work
