Android auto fill screen 15 inch screen.

I must of have a update or something because my Android auto is now displaying large icons below the map for different information like weather and media. Does anyone know how to get ride of these large icons so I can make the map take up most of the screen like it did before? How can I turn off the large icons beneath the map?

Android auto is slowly rolling out it's updated cool walk interface. I don't have it myself but have you tried clicking your maps app to see if it goes full screen?

Yes I did that nothing happens. I hate the large icons under the map.

Not likely to help, but I was having tons of issues with my Android Auto and S21 at first. I went into my phone and forced android auto to uninstall all updates/disabled it. I then brought it back and updated it. This cleaned it up and I didn't have many issues since. It might be an idea for you as it might drive it back to default view. Mine looks like how you want it, big map only.

You've already been told what changed... You got the Android Auto update known as "coolwalk." This is just what Android Auto looks like now.

Finally got Coolwalk myself. Press the map button below the tiles to Fullscreen the map. So for you, press the little Waze guy.

Finally got Coolwalk myself. Press the map button below the tiles to Fullscreen the map. So for you, press the little Waze guy.

When press the little waze guy nothing happens on my screen. Does it change on your screen?

I finally got CoolWalk as well. As Millie indicated clicking on the maps icon toggles between full screen and partitioned. not sure how it works with Waze. Out of curiousity, are there waze app updates that might be pending to support the CoolWalk upgrade?

That explains it, Thanks. Kinda stinks because I dont use google maps because waze gives me more information from other users almost real time like, police, speed cameras, road kill ect ect. I hope the people working on waze send out an update.
