Just curious if anyone knows of an overlay for the powerboost emblems? I'm going to be taking ownership of my new F150 Lariat Powerboost in the next month and the one thing I want is to black out those emblems. I'm getting the Lariat sport package and that is one thing that sticks out to me. I also plan on doing the Ford emblems as well, but I've found some overlays for those.

I thought about plastidipping them, but thought I read somethign the other day here about how in the heat it can get sticky. I live in FL and well,it can get pretty hot and humid here.

I will say that I plastidipped part of my Pontiac Solstice and it held up well, but that was on the interior and it stays covered most the time anyways.

I think plastidipped will work fine. I haven't done any on my truck but my V has plasti dip on the grill, side emblems and window trim. It's held up fairly well for 4 years now. I live in Houston, so our weather is somewhat similar.

I will say this though, the V is not my daily driver, so I'm sure that's contributed to its length of life.

Thanks for the reply. While this truck will be my "daily driver" I actually work from home so I won't be driving it every day. I only have 15k miles on my '17 Lariat that I'm trading in and that includes the 2 or 3 years that I had to drive 90 miles one way to work once every other week.

I think I'm gonna give the plastidip a try when I get it in. if it does get sticky and/or won't remove, I can just remove those emblems.

Thanks again!

Look into dipyourcar.com I’ve got a friend that bought their wheel kit and it’s so much better than Plastidip. Easier to clean and the application blends very well.
