Yes. I purchased in March before they raised the price. I am assuming you are referring to the 4K and in the $3700 vs $3850 price tag.
Sorry, they are shipping you the 4kW inverter, instead of the 10kW one you paid for.

I will call and confirm. What is the impact back to the consumer on the 4KW Inverter vs. 10 KW Inverter?

Being new to EV and new to Solar this year... We are installing a new 15.6 KW system in July. I had originally wondered how that 10KW BDI will work with the system we are installing which has enphase inverters (IQ8a). I will follow up with our solar installers and AEE then...

It likely wont, but we don't have enough info yet. Nice system though.

So essentially, I will have the ability to backup the house with the truck, but there will not be a connection between the truck and the solar system t potentially charge it when the grid is down?

Correct. And that may be the case with the HIS based solar system as well, we just don't know.

Well, turns out the shipping date was just a blip to test the charge again. The ship date moved back to September 1st. Back to the initial solar install and adjustment when the HIS comes in later…

Update : It did ship today(6/21). It will be good to have this before our solar install next month assuming the system takes less time than my truck 😏🤣. Now, whether it will actually work as designed is a different story. I will publish all details I can once I get it withpics and install instructions, etc...

I have a solar array based on IQ7 Enphase Micro Inverters. I am curious if my PV's will integrate with the Ford/SunRun HIS? Also, curious if the Enphase IQ System 2 Controller could be used in place of the HIS for those of us who already have Enphase base Solar Arrays installed? More info on the Enphase IQ System Controller here: IQ System Controller 2 | Enphase Storage .

These are the same questions I have. I may have answers for you sooner rather than later.

Answers for many of us. You can add me to the enphase group. My solar install is scheduled for mid July.

I saw my scheduled delivery for the HIS is tomorrow. So way quicker than the truck. Funny thing is I am not picking up the truck until Friday. So it will indeed beat the truck which was unthinkable as of 3 month ago... Also, I am sure that this is probably the same number for many things at SunRun, but they did say, "Our customer care team can be reached via phone at 844-809-4320 or via email at [email protected]"

Dude. Just got it installed today. Showed up at 10:30 and they were done by 3pm. Had a ton of people here so I think they might have been doing training. I have a previous solar install as well!

Assuming this was through SunRun? Can you give some details on system specs? How big is your system? (is there limits on the size of system?).
DId you have a separate controller in addition to the HIS? DId you have microinverters in your solar system? Enphase by chance? iQ8A? Etc... Will it charge when the grid is down or just go to the house? ETc...
