I have a Pro right now and looking to upgrade my steering wheel. I received the following part numbers from my dealer but they couldn't tell me the difference since the diagrams show so little:

ML3Z*3600*RA : $235, this looks to be a leather wrapped steering wheel, when I pull up the same off eBay it says its also the same as the lariat hybrid. this looks like an awesome upgrade for the pro.

I'm having less luck tracking down what wheel the next option is though:

NL3Z*3600*XA
https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Fo...ASSEMBLY---STEERING/119681543/NL3Z3600XA.html

That link seems to suggest it fits the lightning models. I don't know if there are any different between that and the RA above... From a pricing perspective the RA seems like the best option

the last option was the Raptor wheel:
NL3Z*3600*PA which $1,172, much more expensive.

Does anyone have some perspective as to how much of a difference there is between the RA and XA Wheels?

All wheels should bolt up. Just know that if you have a Pro, you are wasting your money buying a wheel that is heated. It won't work. The only exception would be if it was nicer material.

Also, not sure about the 2021+ model years, but in the 2015 to 2020 generation, most of the time to make sure everything worked you had to swap the button assemblies from your current wheel to the new wheel. Especially if the buttons aren't the same, but even if they are, I would switch them. Caused a lot of people grief on the previous generation when you didn't.

Right, I remember hearing that issue with the button packs.

I assumed the heated steering wheel won't work, but is that because of a hardware issue or perhaps something that could be forscan enabled?

it also sounds to me like that first option (the RA) is a great cost effective option and likely no different than the XA

Hardware. On the 2018 I owned, I had to add the clockspring, heated wheel module and some wiring. Forscan then turned everything on and activated a button on the SYNC screen. With the wheel, I probably spent about $700 to add it.

I'm sure the heated function could be made to work on your Pro, but it will be more involved. In addition to the clock-spring, heated wheel module and wiring, you would need to figure out how to change and integrate the climate control panel with the button to turn the wheel on. Definitely more involved on the current generation than the last, and probably a lot more expensive. I would check the ICE forums to see if anybody has attempted and succeeded to get the heat functioning.

I got a leather Lariat wheel on ebay and installed in on a Pro. The button packs can be swapped from one wheel to another, so you don't need to find a perfect match.

I'm happy with the result. There are a couple YouTube videos that show the process to retrofit a heated wheel, but it looked like about triple the cost and effort.

That’s awesome. Did you like the way it turned out? Do you know the part number by chance?

also does anyone know if a raptor wheel can be put on as well, assuming I just swap the same buttons over?

Just wanted to bump this to the top again - does anyone know if a raptor steering wheel has been confirmed to fit on the lightnings? I assume i would need a new Gen 3 wheel

I like the leather much more than the rubber wheel and it turned out looking like it should, as if was there from the factory. My only doubt is whether I should have added a heated wheel, but from what I can tell (based on youtube video below) that would have been about 3X the cost and effort.

Sorry, since mine was a takeoff from ebay I don't think I can help with part numbers. It appears that any wheel with the same 2021+ switch/button packs should fit fine, including a raptor wheel if you account for the (unusable) shifter paddles.
