I was warming the car this morning at 28 deg and noticed that the auto fan settings seem to have the highest air flow at the middle settings. Anyone else notice this? Not sure if you can hear on the video.

I tested my Lariat-ER, it was doing the exact same thing as your truck.

Then I tinkered with the manual fan adjustment, trying levels 1 to 7, it increments the fan speeds as expected.

Then I tinkered with the hard & soft buttons for MAX-DEFROST, that kicked up the fan to 7 and focused the output to the windshield and side glass vents as expected.

Then I tapped the AUTO fan, high to medium to low, the fan speed slowed as it decremented, then back to high and that speed was higher than medium second round of testing.

Conclusion, is that the pre-sets get screwed up during the system-update / power-up's, possibly what I did corrected the problem ..... until the next update~

PS, I turned on Max Defrost, then turned the truck off, door open / close, power on returned to MAX Defrost mode, which is what I would expect and want in snowy icy northern climates

Whoever engineered this control is just dumb. Mine does same thing and has from day one. There should be one setting for auto on or off. Fan speed should adjust “auto”matically as necessary to maintain the cabin temperature set.

They pretend there is some vast technology in these trucks hidden behind the fancy screen but in actuality it just a way more complicated on/off or rheostat switch.
