Best way to get 12v power to the truck bed (Powerboost 7.2)

Now that I have a ton of power in the rear of the truck bed thanks to Pro Power... I actually need some 12v back there. I could get a 12v power supply but that seems incredibly wasteful to go from 12v under the hood to 120v in the bed back to 12v. Anyone run 12v from the hood to the bed yet? Any tips or things you learned along the way other than picking a big gauge, looming it, and running it under the car to something like this?

That is the only right way other than reconverting it.

how much power do you need at 12 volts? That is really what will make the difference.
