Sadly just thinking about it, the offer may only be for original owners. Or if you just truly got the truck - let the very slow Ford computers catch up on the back end that the truck has a new owner and all of your services are activated and showing up in the app. Does the BC show an expiration date of 3 years from the original owner purchase?

When I added the truck in the app I got 2 emails saying the connected services are enabled for 3 years. Checking in the app it shows the trial is valid until 07/2025. Truck was originally bought in 7/2022. So yes the 3 years from original purchase as you can see.

I went to remote start the truck this morning and when i opened my Ford app. there was a prompt to extend Blue Cruise for 90 days, when i clicked on it i was able to extend it for a year for free.

Ty ty! So I have 2023 model. I saw no offer but when I clicked on Plan Options it was 495 a year or free for a year. I clicked on the no $$ choice and it extended mine till 01/01/2027!

Went into FordPass-->Connected Services-->Bluecruise-->Buy-->"One Year $0.00 ($495 savings)-->checkout

I see it on my Ford Pass App. I wonder if it's a recurring subscription and we need cancel it before it expires or it auto renews.

'23 Lariat ER. I just checked and this is what I found. Looks like I get an additional year for $0! Also placing a reminder on my phone about the renewal. And still waiting for the truck to update BC 1.4. Not willing to pay cash if the service is not being maintained/updated by Ford. But happy to use the present service for free.

I added this "free" year today. I called Ford to confirm it and they said that BC1.4 is only available on Lincoln Navigators right now.

I believe BC 1.4 is being currently rolled out to '23 lightning.

I can confirm that my update happened, and on the road the other day the truck was making its own lane changes. Definitely something I will need to get used to, especially when driving on urban highways.

On the down side, since the update I now have a drivetrain failure warning. Started immediately after the update, did not even get to the end of my driveway before it fired up. Will need to get in for service as it has not yet gone away on its own. I suspect that, since the timing was immediately after the update and I had driven less than 50 feet before the alert popped up, it is an issue with compatibility between various software modules that the dealer will have to update individually. Ford could do better with these updates.
