Had ceramic treatment done on my Pro. The detailer told me to only use non wax containing soaps when washing it. I also got an EGO675 blow dryer to quickly dry it off, avoiding water stains. Blow drying also avoids fine paint scratching from towels.

I feel like that's a bit excessive. The soap I have is PH neutral with polymers to support a ceramic coating so I don't want to fuss too much about that.

I guess my main question at this point is: can I put Gyeon Mohs Evo on the lights/lightbar? What steps should I follow prior to applying Mohs Evo? What product should I use, assuming the paint is fresh from factory, transported via train.

Mine gets washed every time it rains whether I want it to or not, without soap of course. Other than that I do use quick detailer to knock any bird mess or bugs off.

Watch two bucket wash videos on the internet.

buy good microfiber mitts.

From the factory wash it with a good soap (I like Adam’s MegaFoam). I use a foam cannon as an opening step to loosen items on the paint.

when still wet, apply a clay lube and use a clay mitt to remove contamination. It’s is extremely important to have the lube applied! Clay mitts are much easier for a beginner. Do not forget the glass!

rinse

Spray apply iron remover to all the painted surfaces. You will need approx a gallon for a truck this size. You will see purple or orange streaks after a few minutes. This is the iron dissolving.

rinse

dry with air blower and touch up plush borderless towels. Your objective is to touch the paint as little as possible.

if the dealer or ford installed any swirl marks, have them polished out.

ceramic or graphene coat. You might consider PPF for the leading edges. This is expensive but worth it.

yeah it sounds like a lot of work - and it is. But this is a key reason to buy a new vehicle as opposed to a used one. The paint is near pristine!

if you do all of these initial steps, regular maintenance washes will be a breeze.

two bucket technique is key. If you don’t follow this technique, you will have swirl marks in no time.
