The Max Tow trucks have a second A/C compressor for powertrain cooling, which adds another layer of complexity. This might be something to consider if you plan on keeping it outside of the factory warranty period.

So a quick update - I found a used 22 smoke quartz lariat for sale in Illinois with the max tow and bought it -its' shipping to me next week. Saved a few grand vs. new (even with the rebates) and didn't have to sweat the year end timing which turned out to be a good thing since i broke my ankle skiing on the 26th and my wife is definitely tired of shuttling me around (we've done 2 7 hour round trips from Maine to the Doc in MA and for an MRI) . It is my left foot, but she doesn't want me going long distances alone (which I can appreciate).
