Anyone moving a canoe or kayaks? How are you doing it? I need stuff / bikes in the bed and the ability to tow a camper at the same time. Will the same mounting accessories for a regular F150 work ok?

Pictures of your setup appreciated. :)

I haven't bought one for my Lightning but here's what I used for a Silverado doing the same things.
I will probably eventually buy one for the lIghtning. I would get the black aluminum Pro.

I got an Adarack for ~ $500. IT fits into the stake pockets front and back and does not interfere with the roll-top cover.

At first I just strapped the kayackes (14 ft and 12ft pictured) to the adarck,

then I found someone disposing of a Thule Kayack Rack. I discarded the rest of the Thule rack as it was meant for a car, and the Thule "grabbers" slide right into the track on the Adarack.

I use a Revolver bed cover and Galleon rack for canoes. The cover rolls up and the roll is above the level of the box. I had a foldup bed cover on my previous truck. The panels absorbed water and got heavy. The hinges of the foldup panels came detached I think my rollup cover will hold up longer. I had this same Galleon model rack (usrack.com) on my old gas F150. The rack uses stake pockets so it does not conflict with the bed cover.

I ordered my rack with straight posts. It comes with wide cross bars. You can also order standard posts with wide crossbars. Then I suggest Malone brackets. I like this rack because it has 3 crossbars, so the front one is over the truck cab. As I carry 18 1/2 foot canoes that matters. It means that less canoe is ahead of the front crossbar and less canoe behind the rear bar.

Most racks have side rails that are higher than the cross bars. These don’t, so the widest parts of the canoes can be farther from the center of the truck. That increases the effective width of the rack when carrying canoes.

Our Lariat came with the location of the rear stake pockets marked on the plastic at the top sides of the box. You are on your own cutting into the front stake pockets, but it is not difficult because you can see the pockets by looking at the walls of the box.
