Can't create a second personal profile

Hi all,
I've done extensive searching online and haven't come across this issue. I have a 2023 F-150 Lightning and had no trouble creating my profile, setting the seat memory ,linking my phone, etc... Now I'm trying to create a profile for my wife and when it gets to the second step: selecting the memory position, it doesn't recognize the selection. I've tried pressing the button quickly, holding the button, picking the one with my profile, etc... And nothing works. Since this is a required step in the profile creation and it doesn't let me skip it, I can't create a profile for my wife.

Has anyone come across this? If so any ideas how to get it to work. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone surface this issue.

Do you have a second key fob that has not been configured to the truck?
Use that for your wife's operation and profile creation.

I just did this last week... Was driving me crazy till I realized I had my phone on me... even though I don't use Paak I still needed to leave my phone well out of range... once I did that there was no problem in setting up the 2nd keyfob...

I had same issue yesterday setting up my wife’s key and phone. Looked like it took driver 2 but wouldn’t go on. I was trying to do it while it was charging and the truck was in the accessory mode. Today I tried it again after I unplugged the charger. The profile I started yesterday was gone. Added a new profile and her key and that part saved but had issue adding her phone as key. Then I realized I had my phone on me. Set it away from the truck with Ford Pass closed. Then I was able to add her phone and then set her phone up as PAAK.

So my guess is you can’t be plugged in charging and don’t have another key or phone close by. Also, I don’t recall but I may have had the vehicle on today instead of accessories since it’s hot out and had air on. May be that the key being programmed has to start the vehicle first.

That totally worked! I left my phone on the other side of the house and it went through without an issue. Thanks for the tip and hopefully this is useful to others.

Awesome, thread stuck to help others encountering this scenario, ironically my wife is afraid to drive the Lightning so I've never encountered this situation.
