Changing target charge level for current session?

IMO and experience, if you charge using L1 or L2 - 100% is safe.
There are SOC charge buffers that prevent overcharging making safety priority so what you see at 100% is actually less.

If you charge using a DCFC (L3), I would not exceed 90% as the temperature and rate of charge can degrade your battery.

I have mine set to charge to 90%. If I want to charge to 100% I can do so in the app.

Our ID.4 can be adjusted in the app, but whenever you plug the EVSE in it brings up a charging screen in the car showing the current set limit. Its just a simple slider that you can then adjust, which it will retain until the next prompt. Super simple and works great.
