If you ever run the Sync "Check Updates" function, and it says "Getting the latest software update status"....but never actually comes up with either your last OTA or anything else...just keeps saying "This may take a minute or so)....like for over a minute. Disconnect your 12V battery and wait around 5 minutes and then reconnect, start the truck and check again once Sync comes back up.
A few of us have had this happen, and it indicates the system is in some sort of state where it will not only refuse to tell you anything about your OTA status, but if you're using FDRS and trying to do an update that is USB-based, the files will never be uploaded from the USB stick into the truck because of this same condition.
Again, the fix is a simple disconnect and reconnect of the 12V battery to clear out whatever condition caused the issue.
