Does anyone actually have a photo or description of where the 18 speakers actually are?
There is a diagram here on this forum somewhere showing the placement of all the speakers.
I've seen it, but I cant find it now.

I find it satisfactory … not comparable to McIntosh or Burmester and probably not going to please the enthusiasts who need sound pressure and rivet–spreading sub-sub-sub dub-dub-dub lifestyles, but given the sublimely quiet cabin, I'd say everything works, from phone calls to symphonies and videos, and there's not rattles or squeaks.

here's thread with details and component photos of the B&O system … impressive hardware.

This could be Ford’s attempt to keep moving the F-150 up market.

Excellent observation: Ford is definitely moving the F-150 up-market! : )
Still, it's the advantage of a dozen different models that there's an XLT Hybrid or Lightning with all the expensive R&D that goes into the Platinum or Limited, just without the froufrou gadgets and gizmos.

It’s true, there is a lot going on with the F-150 lineup currently!

That thread you posted may or may not be a B&O Unleashed synopsis by yours truly.... ?

Thanks for the info? I don’t yet have my 2021 limited, but certainly looking forward to it. Im wondering how much of the B&O unleashed is B&O? It sounds like the speakers are made by B&O, how about the head unit and amplifier?

The amp definitely is as when you fold down the seat behind the driver, you will find a b&o branded amp. When you say the head unit, are you referring to the 12in the main display, because if you are, it is a ford product? If not, I, unfortunately, do not know about the head unit.

Thanks Bob and Doublet. So it appears then that the amp and digital signal processor are B&O. By head unit, I’m referring to what is usually referred to as a preamp or processor where the transport and digital to analog conversion takes place. I’m hoping and guessing that might be B&O as well.

I'm a brand new 21 Lariat owner and while mine had every option on it I wanted except the unleashed stereo, and had the 9 speaker system as I needed to get into the new truck and not wait/order one with the unleashed. A week into ownership and 9 speaker system is underwelming and I wonder if anyone has looked into what parts are needed to add some of the pieces from the unleashed system. I don't think I would add the headliner nor the headrest options but I'm wondering if the wiring harness is the same and already there so the upgrade path would be add the missing speaker and higher channel count amplifier. Or are all of the speakers different??

One of the things I am most disappointed in is stereo image and front stage presence. Without fading the sound to the front, the sound seems to come from the center of the back seat. When I fade forward to bring the stage in front of me, the center dash speaker seems to be doing all the work and that's a big ask for a tiny 3".

The unleashed is a great platform for the money. Very powerful and distinguished mids and highs. It will not blow your head off but it stays clean right to the top end. Definitely lacks low-end at higher volumes ESPECIALLY at speed. The weak point in this audio system is the little fart can sub it comes with, I've never owned a Ford that trailed the bass off the way this system does at higher volume.

What it needs is an amplified sub with a digital line out converter that will pull signal from the factory sub and convert it to clean bass right to the top end. Not that expensive, complicated or time consuming so it's on my list of things to do to make me 100% happy with this rig. The good news is that the system has the mids and highs to support the bass so it won't sound high school with a little more bass.
