Does your truck yell at you when NOT using BlueCruise? Say when using regular cruise or lane centering?
Thankfully no!

I do see value of driver assist features like blue cruise, supercruise, FSD, Etc...
On the Ford, with BlueCruise enabled, it shifts one mental workload for another and they are not equal - meaning, on a long trip, it takes some of the driving workload away from me, but that is swapped for the anxiety and stress of waiting to be yelled at!

I don't experience that anxiety with my Tesla - but the Tesla is not a Ford F150 and doesn't fit my normal daily use case. (Don't even get me started about the CT! :p )

So, I find it interesting how different manufactures have similar requirements for drivee attention, but have drastically different implementations.

I'd be happy to sign a waiver of liability if they'd turn down the naniness!

It's more stressful to drive with nanny mode on. When my free BluesClues trial expires in a few months, Ford expects me to start paying them so I can be scolded. Something doesent sit right about that. Like road rage, but at my own car lol.

Having driven Teslas autopilot, I have to say thier more subtle hints at "hey man, maybe you should look out the front window" is more soothing and actually gets me to perform the expected behavior with less anxiety compared to worrying about when the Ford is going g to go all "Frau Helga" at me. Now if only Tesla sold pickup trucks...

Anyone know how GM supercruise compares? Somewhere in between ismy guess?
The problem with Tesla’s system is it will punish you! Turning cruise control off until you stop and restart the vehicle. I test drove the cybertruck a week before I picked up my Lightning ⚡, and on the test drive it shutoff FSD and cruise control. Sorry, not paying $80k + for a vehicle that doesn’t like the way I drive and punishes me for it! 🤠

Yeah, let's not talk about the CT. There's a learning curve to each brand of driver assist and as the OP pointed out, even differences with the same brand sometimes.
The learning curve for me on the Lightning is still going on( 2 yrs now) where the Tesla I pretty much had figured out in a few weeks, with only one instance of it making me stop and get out of the car to reset it, which, I think is a very clever way to get a potentially impaired person to snap out of it.
