Well I played with all the light switch tried different coordination. The passenger fog light finally turned off and everything is now working as normal. I have reapplied Full Led no issues. Must be a glitch somewhere.
Glad to hear this fixed and worked out for you! I’m thinking the same but definitely let me know if it does it again. How does the full LED mod look for you? Liking it?

That's interesting. I looked at my camera outside and the wheels were straight. It is something I will look at.
That could be the issue, definitely keep us posted? However, keep in mind that the cornering light using the fog light only turns on when the steering wheel is turning in low beam mode, won’t work if you’re on position 2 on the exterior light knob, just the way Ford wanted it and not sure why.

Trying to see if there’s a way to enable cornering light for side marker mode (position 2) without the need of low beam position at night if you’re in the city. So far, nothing yet.

I also have the flickering drivers side fog light led bar after doing the changes. Mines a 502a lariat with projector headlights. I will try returning to stock and re applying the changes to see if it fixes it this week

Hey all, I’m new to the forum but not new to FORScan. I was searching for this DRL mod and came across the changes needed to be made on this thread. So I did it and have had an issue. So I was wondering if anyone has any updates on their truck that we’re getting the “flicker” of the DRL after making these changes? I made the changes and after being prompted by FORScan to turn vehicle off and back on, when I did that my passenger side DRL went crazy flickering for about 3 seconds full brightness then was fine and all my DRL’s were full bright all the time with no issues with all the lights on or not for over a week. Then a couple nights ago I pulled into the garage after work and noticed in my reflection on the wall in front of me that my passenger side DRL was once again flickering, it only lasted a few seconds then stopped and was fine. I sat there idling for 5 more minuets and it never did it again. I have since set my DRL brightness back to stock (haven’t noticed any flickering) and had the dealership look at it while it was in for an oil change yesterday (they said everything looked normal, no codes etc/ go figure :). I love the way this FORScan change makes the DRL’s look bright all the time, but curious what the flickering is all about? Any info would be helpful if there is any. My truck is a 302A XLT with the reflector LED head lights.

Could be a bug somewhere, however you’re the second or third person so far out of everyone to get this flickering I believe! I still don’t any flickering issue but maybe try to re-attempt after restoring back to your factory back up, go through the cycle again then save that backup once more. Once done, try to attempt the mod again and see if it continues?

Thanks kinda what I was thinking too! I hadn’t read into this thread far enough to see others had had a similar flicker until after I got it. Mine appeared to be the passenger headlight DRL, not a fog light DRL just incase anyone else experiences this. I just re installed the FORScan changes to full bright again a few hours ago and have been out working with the truck on and have not noticed any more flickering, but I’ll keep an eye on it. If anyone else notices this and digs deep enough into it to find the cause or solution, I’d love to hear about it. Love the look with the full brightness, totally changes the look of the truck at night, and I have not been flashed by any drivers or notice any additional glare being created when looking at the front of the truck, just brighter DRL’s ?

You’re welcome! Yeah it’s really weird when that happens at first but after restoring and re-applying the mod again, seems to have fixed the issues! But I’d love to hear if anyone ever finds out why it flickers (h/l and fog) as well.

Glad you’re liking it and that’s great news too! Absolutely love this as well, enjoy it! ?

I have reset the BCM, re-applied the mod and still no luck. Lower passenger side DRL still flickers like crazy. I have even disconnected all batteries after applying the mod for a few hours with no change.

What I've noticed;

1. Only flickers if the key fob is in the truck. When key fob is outside the truck all flickering stops
2. When lamp switch is set to parking lights only, no flickering regardless of key fob

I don't believe this is an LED issue as it does stop flickering when the key fob is outside the truck. I sat and watched it for over 30 minutes and not a single flicker.

Questions;

1. My truck is a Canadian truck with Glare free lighting, projector LEDs and is a PowerBoost hybrid, anyone else apply this mod with this config?
2. Any troubleshooting or other things I should be looking at? Possible different settings for DRLs?

That so weird! I would show this in person to the service techs at the dealership so they can look into this? It could be a wiring issue or just a bug issue that just needs your modules to be updated, if there is one.

1. Mine is a Canadian truck as well but a 3.5 EB Lariat, non PB (going for PB after I check my Tremor that’s coming on order - apparently there’s a few changes they made to the 2022 F-150 line that’s really bugging me.).

2. Not as far as I know, aside from restoring your asbuilt then trying again. I think you’re the first who’s still having the flickering issue after restoring and attempting the mod again, seems like the other guys who did have the flickering issue may have been a non PB as well?

Anyone looking for DRL LED Bar to go from dimmed to boosted bright, this is the only forscan mod you have to do. Works perfectly in all modes, including Bambi mode and marker mode. Stays bright all the time! Huge thanks to @Hectort713. Confirmed working in 2021 F-150 XLT, Lariat and Tremor. Other trims, comment below if working. As always, make a backup before doing this.

BCM: 726-42-01 -> x2x2 - xxxx - xxxx

*do at own risk.

EDIT; also works on ‘21 F-150 Platinums.

Hello, I was looking into this mod for my 2017 f150 and was wondering if it's the same line in forescan? I seen another user say they did it to their 2016 F150. Just wanted to make sure the same forescan string works for the 2017 and it's not just for the 2021.

Thanks
