I confirmed with Granger that they do not offer a warranty for the Lightning that covers the high voltage battery.

Are there any warranties that do cover the EV battery?

Thanks much.

Yes. The original warranty. But no others.

Given the amount of miles I drive each month, I will reach 100000 miles the first year. Bummer.

Holy cow... 100k miles a year!

I took the Ford Protect plan out to 8yr/100k so that way my bumper to bumper matched the HV warranty, but I'm around 10-12k a year right now.

100,000 a year works out to just under 300 miles a day. And that's not counting the time spent changing tires and other maintenance;)

Also, there aren't many warranties that go beyond 175,000 miles.

Ya, put over 11k on it in the first tree weeks with cross country driving (2 drivers). That was straight from the dealer before I took it home. I was surprised just how built out the charging network really is. Only state I traveled through that I had to do really planning was Wyoming. Hwy efficiency is down, but still much better than ICE. Tires are holding up reasonably well and maintenance? I've added washer fluid.

So you must use DC charging exclusively? Do you wait on the DC charge past 80%? I am impressed that you find the DC system workable.

Yes - other than overnight at hotels with Level 2.

Ya, we just pretty much follow the advice of the onboard map. When going to an area with few chargers, we use the plugshare app. Seems to work well. I spoke with someone from Walmart that has been working with Electrify America a few weeks back. Looks like they are working toward deploying at most every Walmart.

Ok I’ll bite, why do you drive so much?
