Fix For Bad Android Auto Audio Quality?

Huge bummer as the audio quality on Sirius (which I don't plan to keep) sounds pretty good. My phone on the other hand sounds terrible. Anyone find a fix?

I haven't heard any noticeable difference between Sirius and playing Spotify on my iPhone via CarPlay.

I just borrowed a platinum from the dealer for 24 hours. The wireless android auto with Spotify sounded great. Hope my lariat sounds close to as good.

The lariat sound system, in my opinion, is terrible.
I put a subwoofer in thinking it'd improve and it almost makes it worse.
The platinum has a more advanced system so makes sense.

Do you think you were streaming music via Bluetooth or was it streaming inside the andriod-auto/apply-carplay apps? I could see Bluetooth not being as good as the other choices.
