Fleet Lightning info possible insight to MY23 order info

The F150L was always a want rather than a need. Lots of things have changed, interest rates, cost of living,& bear market all hurt. My old truck died and was replaced, which depleted funds, i am a yr closer to retirement, assumptions about ordering, production, prioritization, trim quotas, delivery, tax credits, dealership integrity, etc were hopelessly optimistic. In short my circumstances have changed to where I question whether spending $50k or more on a depreciating asset that I want more than need is the responsible thing to do. I work hard for a living and figured I can indulge myself. But at some point self indulgence borders on irresponsibilty. That's my dilemma.

Now if everyone else in America could please be this sane and rational about their finances…

From tonight's live stream with Long McArthur. He mentioned that it's looking like August 4th for wave Invites for customer MY23 which doesn't sound right to me leaving just a month to schedule for job 1 assuming multiple waves will be needed to collect enough orders to schedule. No one knows what this MY23 wave process looks like but it doesn't seem right seeing how they had 2 months to schedule job 1 for MY22 and Ford is "ramping up" production. I could see them continuing the bi-weekly method in the beginning of MY23 to get enough for a good pool to pull from a month just seem too short for a wave process. Thoughts???

For what it is worth, I just spoke to Ford Marketing 800-334-4375. They informed me that all current reservation holders will be receiving an email from Ford in the 3rd or 4th week of July. The email will contain a NEW reservation number for the 23MY. The current reservation numbers are only for 22MY. The order banks will open shortly after the emails have gone out.

For what it is worth, I just spoke to Ford Marketing 800-334-4375. They informed me that all current reservation holders will be receiving an email from Ford in the 3rd or 4th week of July. The email will contain a NEW reservation number for the 23MY. The current reservation numbers are only for 22MY. The order banks will open shortly after the emails have gone out.

Hopefully today or tomorrow emails go out with the new Reservation number and Monday the 18th is GAME TIME lol

I hope your right. I'm a 5/20 reservaion holder. But seems to me that Ford will have to actually announce the MY23 model, presumably just some additional options, colors, etc. I guess that will happen and order banks open the same day?

Well that is quite a tease. Don't give me hope like that! I reserved just a few minutes into the Ford presentation (in a Non ZEV state), so I'm looking forward to ordering the truck and then having absolutely no effing clue when I will actually get one.

Its Interesting that they only give 3 days between orders opening and scheduling. That seems to imply that if you are in wave 1 you will be immediately scheduled. Doesn't necessarily mean you get your truck first, but you have a really good chance of being scheduled first. Maybe the first wave is nothing but Pro and XLT extensions.
