From the Ford Video Guy youtube, episode 148 “Ford Model E Program is Dead”, 1:19:18 - 1:25:29

After saying he doesn’t know if Ford is going to reimburse those dealers who made the substantial investment in the fast chargers that being a certified Model E dealer required, he went over what the Ford note about the cancellation of Model E that he received said about what requirements still exist if a dealer wants to sell Ford EVs:

if you're going to service EVS you have to have certain things in your service space to be able to service these EVS... i.e. for these big batteries you have to have the training - just like with anything else - you still have to go through that. So they're still requiring that.

[This training requirement applies] across all roles. So, sales staff too. If they want to sell EVS they have to be certified. You have to have your product knowledge, employee safety, all that stuff. [A dealership requires] two high voltage battery trained technicians for any dealer [who sells] over 300 [units per year], or, one trained technician if you're a under 300 dealer. [Although for all dealers] they do encourage two. And then you have to have the hardware and equipment elements needed to safely and effectively perform EV service work. Including access to a forklift - they did say if you have a local rental forklift company in town that would work also. Two Level 2 Chargers are still required and three Nema plugs but the deadline's been extended to next year."

- I'm probably in the minority here but I love my dealer. Excellent service, transparent pricing, No F & I department. The owners donate and support the same local charities that I donate to. The sales people have been there for decades. The service department knows you by first name. It's truly a unique and old school experience that keeps me buying Fords. So here they are finishing up their full model e charging experience when Ford pulls the rug out from under them. I really hope that Ford does something for these dealers as here is a photo I took tonight of the capital investment they are making in EVs . I felt compelled to take it after reading through this thread .

Four miles from me sits a brand new Tesla supercharger with 8 stalls that has been finished for a year but never turned on thanks to the turmoil over at Tesla, but we will now have super fast DC chargers a mile from my home thanks to Otis Ford in Quogue, NY . I tip my hat to them and encourage anyone looking for a new Ford to look them up. You won't be disappointed.
