Ford Home Charger Install by QMERIT

Does anybody have experience with Qmerit doing an install where the panel is in the basement and the circuit needing to be 75’ to the charger? I’m guessing my non standard install would be $$$$ through them and wouldn’t be covered if I tried to use the Ford program.

80 feet is the Power Promise maximum for a standard installation. If it's 75' and the rest of the requirements are met, it should be covered as standard.

“80’ of wiring runs…” sounds like 80’ of wire length, not direct distance.

Qmerit called, scheduled and installed our pro charger within 2 weeks of our purchase. Tech that installed was experienced and did an excellent job. Excellence all around.

My panel is on the opposite side of the house from where my charger needed to be located. After adding a separate control panel, they ran a conduit through my attic down the other side of the house into the garage. It was an extra $400 or so but expected since the install was more than a basic installation. Local contractor was great and followed up in a timely manner.
