Forward Sensing feature missing - window sticker error. Any luck getting Ford to install it?

Like many others - I got the letter from Ford apologizing that the Window Sticker states Forward Sensing is a feature, but it is not installed in my vehicle. They are offering $100 refund for their mistake - which of course doesn't remotely cover the cost of the feature.

Has anyone had luck getting Ford to actually install the Sensor? Seems like a clear-cut legal violation (Monroney Sticker law), and seems like I have grounds to say it's a warranty issue - I paid for a vehicle with this feature and it's not working.

What trim & year is ur Lighting? No info is listed in ur signature or profile. Do u have a photo of the window sticker or build sheet?
When you say forward sensing, are you talking about Automatic Emergency braking, lane keep assist, or intelligent cruise?

2024 XLT (it's in my profile) - and this seems to be a widespread issue - many posts from owners about this in various forums, and Ford is now sending out CSP letters to owners apologizing, and offering $100 refund for their error.

"Forward Sensing feature" is Ford's name for the feature. My understanding is that it is similar to the Rear Sensing feature that beeps as object near to assist you in not hitting an ojbect. Actually a pretty useful feature when navigating tight parking spots, or having to get as-close-as-possible to a charging station for the cable to reach.

Sorry, I see it now. Ah yes, the APA. That sucks that they’re only giving u $100. Does ur vehicle have the parking sensors & just missing the software? Or not even the APA sensors?

Several posts here also; there is one early on where I think the owner actually got the dealer to install the sensors IIRC. I can try and find it if you don't. I think it's in this thread:

2024 XLT. Mine is a 24 month lease. Sensors are NOT on the bumper. I’ll take the $100 and hit the front camera if I really need to be that close.

I suspect legally Ford wins this one. They didn't promise the feature anywhere else - the order guide, web site, advertisements, etc. It's a misprint on the window sticker. There's probably something in the law that shields them when it's a clear inadvertent error.

It's also likely there is no official retrofit procedure, so getting the dealer to do it would be unofficial, they'd have to figure out how to install and do the programming, and they wouldn't get reimbursed by Ford.
