Front Hitch for 2021 F150

Any idea if the mounting holes are the same on the frame of a 2021 as a 2020 and older for a front hitch? Anyone install a front hitch on their 2021? So far I haven't found any websites that guarantee fitment on a 2021 F150. I'm assuming it will probably take some time for manufacturers to design one if the frame is different.

Not that there is any rush, I don't even have a VIN 6 weeks after placing my order ?

Mostly just use it for a cargo carrier or bike rack when towing my camper.

I've been looking into the same thing but unfortunately haven't come up with one yet. I need one to throw my dirt bike on when towing the trailer. Hopefully one comes available that does not hang down to low and fits "high and tight".

2021 f150 has a front air dam that drops down at 20 or 40 MPH. That is a problem for front hitches?

I just bought some receiver hitch stock off ebay, since I plan on welding something up.

The power airdam will indeed interfere with any underslung front hitch. Even if the frame is compatible with prior gen hitches.

I plan to mount mine right where the intercooler goes on the turbo trucks, since I have a V8, I looked underneath and there is plenty of room as well as several mounting possibilities.

My main reason will be for hauling 20’ sticks of steel tubing with a roofrack but it will also be a good option for a receiver mounted winch, bike rack, etc...

Good luck; I want a front hitch for maneuvering a travel trailer in my yard, will wait until the truck arrives, crawl under and see what I can weld up....

I ordered these off eBay, the 12” length was $20 and the pair of 6” ones were $25:

The local steel supplier has blanks but they’re overpriced. I looked for unpainted but painted is fine. I will put up some pictures of underneath the truck next chance I get. I will probably make some measurements too.

Today, I installed the Curt #31083 front hitch. I removed the automatic air dam and motors. Trimmed a 4 X 1 inch slot in the center bottom edge of the outer dam. You need two people and a small screw jack to spread the arms slightly. It fits fine with 10 inches of road clearance to bottom of 2 in. tubing.

Today, I installed the Curt #31083 front hitch. I removed the automatic air dam and motors. Trimmed a 4 X 1 inch slot in the center bottom edge of the outer dam. You need two people and a small screw jack to spread the arms slightly. It fits fine with 10 inches of road clearance to bottom of 2 in. tubing.

If you get a chance, would be great to see some pictures of what it looks like installed.

Any pictures? I am about to install a front hitch and then a hitch mounted winch. Curt says 5000lb rating, but Reese has one that says 9000 lbs straight pull rating.

Would love to see pics mounted. I ditched that silly air dam long ago so not worried about that.
