I used to be able to open my Frunk with they key fob and it would open the entire way. Now when I do it, the frunk opens 1 foot then stops and you have to open it the rest of the way manually. Any ideas?

Pop the frunk and then manually push it all the way open. Then press and hold the close button, keep holding until it beeps.

This is a feature so you can prevent the frunk from opening to high and hitting something. For example if you have a low ceiling garage.

I've already tried this, it did not help.

Just double checking - You are holding the little round button on the frunk itself? not the button in the cab right?

Assuming you've done that... the only other thing I would try is pulling the negative 12v battery cable for an hour or two. Reconnect the 12v battery and let the truck boot back up for 10 min. Then pull the frunk closed manually (get it to the latch and click it down, the latch will grab from there). Try and open it again. If it's still opening a small amount try to push it up manually and press and hold the frunk button again.

If that does not cure it you will need to take it to the dealer.

Yes, I did push the button on the Frunk. I'll look into the other suggestion, thanks.

Mine just spent a week in the dealership for this exact issue. Just got it back and it’s working now. Looks like from the invoice, they had to replace both power hood struts. Nothing tested faulty they said, that’s why it took a week, they were testing everything. I think in the end they just replaced the struts and it started working again.
