I have solar and low cost ToU overnight at home, so a nice sunny day I get a "free" charge for the truck, but a cloudy day like today I charge overnight on the "Ultra low" (2.9Cents/kWh) rate which sure beats the heck out of the $140-$160 a week I used to spend at the pumps...I can see this Truck will feel like it was "free" after ten years of "not-Gas" driving !!
It sure is a new sensation compared to being a slave to the fuel stations...loving it.

Hope to see you post the outcome, good or bad.
So, had my recall appt. today, Ford Dealer is 42 miles away. Goggled driving times, one said 1 hr. Put the Location into the trucks Nav, it said 91 Minutes. Appt was @ 9am, left @ 7:15 am, got there @ 9:10am. Service writer, Jazmin was Nice, had some questions she could not answer. One was about the BMS. In any case One update was to take 30 to 4.5 Hrs. . depending. She came & told me 24S76 was done 45 Min later. Finally came & told me they were done @ 1pm. Ball joint Insp, (24S56) was NPF (No Problem Found).5 Hrs But they replaced both Upper Ball Joint nuts & Torqued.. The 24B56 recall took almost 2 hrs. Spoke to the Owner/GM told him I was VERY happy with my lightning, and the attention they were providing. Told the service writer that this was a test . . to see if I was ever coming back for service there, Told Jazmin I was happy. Asked her how they did the updates, if they connected a computer to the OBDII, she had no idea what that was , , , Hum. Any way, took 110 min to get there and 50 min to get home. Glad that is done...

This is a great posting - showing the real world experience you had with the truck and service centre. Glad it worked out, and you got the truck back for the ride home!

In my third week of the new Lightning - I am still giddy over this truck.
I look for any excuse to run out and get something, just to ride around in it.
I got my new Typhoon Pro adapter from A2Z EVshop online - ordered last weekend, and it came in today, so about a week.
{edit paid $219.99 CDN$ plus tax, free shipping in Canada}.

I know a Tesla charging station that is near-by so I will set up the app and test this out close to home - better to make sure it works before I actually need it lol.
I have to wonder about all the different charging standards CSS1, NACS, CHAdeMO, J1772
in a few years maybe we will laugh at all the conflicting "standards" we had in the Old-Days. :)
