Has anybody used Line-X rustproofing?

Inquired with Line-X about spray in liner and he tells me they do undercoating as well - $900+, and will need truck for 3 days. Curious if anybody has used them. Southerners need not reply

My personal opinion is that I would never use a liner type spray to undercoat a vehicle. It will trap any rust containments or moisture and expedite the corrosion. You just won't be able to see it.

Just to be clear, it's not the liner type spray, rather a conventional type undercoating.

I Ziebart'ed my white 2018 right off the lot. Not a spec of rust on it through these Canadian winters. I plan on doing it again with my 2021.

Yeah, I will probably use Ziebart as well but was interested to know if anybody had used Line-X.

I had my 2016 undercoating done also @ Ziebart there in Michigan. Purchase it from Russ Milne just off Hall Rd, Macomb, MI - down the street from them was Ziebart. Drove it from March 2016 - July 2019, all in Michigan with zero issues.

I went with the Line-X rustproofing and undercoating. They had spray done in a day, but I had to leave overnight as it was wet outside which could have impacted the curing. Live in Chicago suburbs where salt is life in the winter!

I have had Line-X bedliner and undercoating on last two trucks and will be again on my 2021. We even did my wife's 2019 Escape. They do an excellent job in a day. I don't drive for 36 hours so it cures (don't want a bunch of dirt to stick when it's soft and new).

My liner is the Premium for $599 and $279 for undercoating.

My experience with rubberized undercoatings is the same as some of the YouTube mechanics; that they make things worse.

Epoxy coated rebar has been banned for similar reasons.

Stick with oil based solutions and reapply every year, maybe twice a year, depending on usage and geographic location.
