It has been hard waiting on my truck but knowing it is sitting at the rail yard is pain staking. My dealer said it could take weeks because they are a small dealer and can only get full loads. I offered to pay for a rollback wrecker to get it out of the yard and they said that is not an option. They have tried it several times before and get denied every time.

On a side note, what happens if my truck sits there long enough to drain the battery and they can't load it. Is that a thing?

Your Lightning battery will be fine. Clark Griswold has set up charging in the parking lots for all Lightnings.

Mine spent 5+ days 20 miles away from me. It's the worst.... My only recommendation to those that are gettign shipped or yet to ship is to plan your delivery for what the delivery window is mentally. Easier said than done... I know...

I went on a 60 mile hike to get my mind off of it 😂

We left our Mach-E for 14 days while on vacation and when we came back, it had only drop 1%. I think you will be fine.

Wanna trade - I will take the truck sitting at the rail yard, and you can have my unscheduled order! :p

I do know the feeling through. Our Mach-e sat for almost a month.

My Lightning is 25 miles away…I’ve also offered to go get it myself and was denied. ☹

I think I have you all beat. Mine has been sitting at a rail yard 1 mile away from my dealer (and 10 miles away from my home) for a week. It blows my mind that they can't just drive it over to the dealer without loading it on a transport.

That's crazy and would drive me insane. Mine is 6 hours away. It sucks though because I am trying to plan a work trip around getting it but it is hard to plan when you don't know when it will be available.

That is good to hear. I thought I heard the fantom drain was a lot worse than that

It was on that Ford Fusion Energi that we leased. We could go on a trip without that car and only be gone 3 days and it would be dead. I was very glad to give that car back at the end of the lease.

I can do you one better (worse)? Mine got a minor scratch in transit which the dealer found while unloading, so it spent 5 days at the body shop after arrival at my dealer!

This too shall pass.
