Looking for suggestions around the Houston Area for Lightning Service. Every time I take my truck to Tomball Ford, they keep the truck for days, nothing really gets fixed and they act like I am an inconvenience.
Quick Background. Had a CSP (Which, my service rep did not know what I was talking about, he asked Recall? I said no, Customer Satisfaction Program with This number that was provided when I setup the appointment.) He said ok, recall and I said sure. Also, had a failed update in September that apparently was important. I had opened a service request with Ford directly, they told me to give that to the dealer for them to get better assistance and the right software to install.
Fast forward, he told me not likely to be done that day even though I dropped it off at my appointment time of 7am, but he told me they were really busy and did not have any techs available. Man, people complain about Tesla, but they at least do not take the car until they are ready to work on it. Crazy how they want you to spend days without a vehicle. Tesla Service has always been perfect for me. This is why Dealerships will fail.
Tracked the truck, looked like it was in their shop all day Wednesday, then it moved to the back of the lot around 5pm. waited for a call, nothing. I did not have a ride to the dealership, so just waited to see. Got a text from the dealer the next morning that a tech was assigned and would be working on the car. Tracked the car all day, it never moved. Finally got a call from the dealer around 4pm, he said they updated the modules, but they do not have the software to update the failed OTA. I explained that Ford said they did and that is why I told them to use the Service Request with Ford when I dropped it off. He explained that is not how they work, but I could let them keep the car another day to call Ford. I went and picked up the truck, will never take it to them again. 3rd visit in a little over a year, all with the same "not my issue, you have to talk to Ford" attitude. Again, this is why Dealerships will fail.
