How to find latest version of OTA SYNC4 Updates?

When it says “restart the truck”, you need to shut it down completely. That means, ignition off, open and close drivers door. Then wait 10 minutes (this is the important step)!!

Ok, I hot the APIM to update after the third try. I am now on 21146 Rev 145.

I tried to update he IMPA and I can't get it started I got a these messages both times I tried. "Reprogramming Failed" (Click "no" the second time) and then got the "Security access failure". Thoughts?

I moved on to the Gateway module. I am currently in the reboot message loop. I have waited the 10min opened the closed driver door. Do you need to start the vehicle or just cycle the ignition after 10min. Done both, no luck.

Not sure about IPMA.I have flashed it without any issues. It just takes forever. About 3 hours or so.

For GWM, it should be the same procedure as APIM. Ignition OFF. Open driver door and close. DO NOT REMOVE THE FLASHDRIVE. Wait 10 minutes. Ignition ON. Wait couple of minutes until SYNC screen informs you that update was successfull. Remove the flash drive

How many amp tender/charger is recommended for this to run the updates?

I would go at least with 20A.

A few of us are Powerboost trucks. I still put a charger on it but it takes a lot longer to drain the 12V system on it. I'm not sure I really needed it.

This in in TSB 21-2310 concerning the SYNC 4 for updating for other issues. This might be the reason you're getting the error messages.

NOTE: The gateway module (GWM) must be at the latest software level before the APIM update
can be performed.

I knew this and intended to update the GWM first, but FRDS didn't make a GWM update available until after I updated the APIM and TCU.
I was still happy when I finally saw it populate!
