Have before/after pics of the plasti-dipped wheels?

Had to dig for preview pic, ended up stealing one off the internet, but here you go:

As you can see, I painted while wheels were still on the truck. Taped with blue painters tape. I put some plastic bags (used large leaf bags) behind the rim to protect brakes and other components from overspray. Also parked on a drop cloth. Prep took as long as actual painting.

Plasti dip had a YouTube video on how to perform this operation, but I didn't want to invest in all the other stuff they were selling, or more accurately, didn't feel like waiting for it to be delivered. I did invest in a $5 spray can trigger similar to this one:

I might have to peel plastidip off of lug nuts during my first tire rotation, we will see.

Mind if I ask for details about your wheel package? Looks sharp. Any noticeable drop in mileage/range?

Rtx patton 20 inches with BFG KO2 285/65R20… drop range from 370km to 330km.

Not for now, i just copy the lariat front end so just the grill and mirrors.

Will say that a few months in, that the Plasti-Dip got killed by bug guts on a road-trip. Definitely not the product to use. You can still use the instructions to take the grille off, but get the grille painted, don't Plasti-Dip it. To the products credit, it did come off without damaging the grille, so there is that!
