That's handy and very timely (just experienced that this past weekend). Could you just go ahead and tell me how to use all the other features this truck has now? I'll hang up and listen.

Now how do you turn off the reminder to turn it back on that I am getting lately?

I turned mine off the first or second day I got the truck (2 weeks ago) and it's already reverted to being on.

The Mach-E has a variation on that with the 15" screen that will likely be the same as the Lightning, where it detects and counts the passengers based a weight sensor in each seat.

If I start my day by picking some people up and they sit in the back, then drop them off someplace, it will nag me with a screen showing the formerly occupied seat(s) with a red warning where they used to be sitting. I'm not sure why they think this is useful. Perhaps they think I'll take a trip, then a passenger will wander off without me knowing they're gone?

I'm assuming it is geared more towards people with small children. Too many news stories of babies and young kids either being left in hot cars or busy parents forgetting them somewhere and driving away.

Absolutely.

I grew up in a family of 5 children, and my mother loves to share the story about how I once fell asleep in the back seat of our car and they didn't notice until 10 minutes later when they were tucking everyone into bed.

School buses in my area are required to have a sign in the back window saying that the bus was checked for sleeping children. They start the day with the sign reversed, and the only way the driver can change it is to walk to the end of the bus. This makes it easy for their team to see the status of every parked bus by looking at the back windows.
