Hi - I'm trying to get off the sidelines and make a move towards getting a '24 Lariat (or a '23 if I can find one); main thing is I want Extended Range. Also open to a '24 Flash. For example, this '24 Lariat is something I'm looking at now (I'm in Northern CA): https://fordfairfield.com/viewdetai...rd-f-150-lightning-crew-cab-pickup?type=lease

So I understand that MSRP is basically the same as invoice, and that dealers are essentially getting 10% profit on MSRP...and then yes I get there's a $7500 fed credit ... so is that $7500 coming off the "final price" or is that included in the advertised price? And is the general target, let's say on this specific truck that I listed above, to be OTD at $60k? Anyone in my general area (Sacramento, Bay Area) having success with making a deal that good?

I don't have any other discounts (other than Costco if that helps any).

Thank you!

When I click on the link, it shows a 23 lariat
If you click on windows sticker you can see the options and the MSRP price which was 79,515 if you click on the button that says cash it will show you what the discounts are which are $2500 dealer discount and the $5000 retail bonus cash so it is not including the $7500 tax credit which you can have the dealer take off the price if you qualify or you can take it off your 2024 taxes if you qualify. I saw a post from a dealer in Iowa (that they are trying to sell the prices were pretty good)yesterday on this forum you can always have it shipped or go pick it up and drive it back. I live in Texas and I purchased my vehicle a month and a half ago from Upper Marlboro Ford in Maryland(shout out to them and Alexander, my sales person EV specialist) I flew to Maryland and drove it back to Texas, which was a crash course EV ownership- I had done a lot of research but had never driven one other than a test drive or two. My deal was similar to the ones I saw from the dealership in Iowa. Which I checked out out of curiosity to see what my deal looked like compared to their deal. Hope that helps!

I posted these in another thread...but up here in Montana Lightnings (and Mach E's) are not selling. Cost to ship from Montana to Northern California in open trailer will be $500-$1000.

https://www.dennymenholtford.net/new-inventory/index.htm?model=F-150 Lightning You could probably get Denny Menholt to come down another $1,000 - $2,000 and throw in a mobile charger cord (they don't "include" the charger on MSRP to keep vehicle under $80,000)

Kendall Ford will match any list price you find. But you need to "prove it" to get it.

If you are open to a Flash are you open to an XLT? If so, look for an 2023 XLT ER, they have been going for $52k out the door and have the best discount ($7,500 from Ford). You can also find ER Lariats for about $7k more than that (this is including the tax rebate). Just look around and determine how far you're willing to drive to save X amount of $$$.

I just picked up a 2023 Lariat yesterday in Anchorage.
MSRP $80,085
Retail Bonus - $ 5,000
Asking price $75,085

I offered $70K all fees included to which the dealer said yes way too fast! CRAP!! I obviously could have offered less.

Deduct the $7,500 EV Tax Credit and final price was $62,500.

I am happy with the transaction.

FYI, for the IRS EV tax credit You do not include the destination charges for the calculation of rebate eligibility. You can look it up on irs.gov. If I remember correctly, it is just MSRP plus factory installed options. I think it also excludes dealer installed, but don’t remember off the top of my head. I had to explain that to a few dealers, but still couldn’t get a good deal around here so that’s why I went to Maryland.

Do not forget to call Ford and ask if you have a Private Cash Offer. Mine went up $1000 magically. Had expired but Ford apparently renewed it and upped the amount. Now if my dealer will just email me back…grrrrr
