Hey all,

Thanks for your input. I have decided to just hold off on the order. Between the price increase (and in the XLT ER just over the $80k threshold for the rebate, which Ford could have offered a configuration just under the $80k), the interest rates, the known feature removals, the potential future feature removals, Ford refusing to price guarantee my ICE Platinum (to a nice sum of $4k) after waiting 19 months, falling resale prices, having to prepare the electrical, and so on and so on, it just seems not to be the right time for me.

You all offered the various insights I was hoping for—a lot of pros and a lot of cons. It really did help.

It seems I’m missing the keyed spare tire lock cylinder and cargo net from my 2023 platinum also. The spare tire cylinder lock should have been keyed alike and installed at factory I can only guess? Wondering if anyone has approached Ford yet successfully to get their missing items or non included items should I say…

So I received my request to order. Up until now, I have been excited for this moment. But now, I am not sure. I ordered an ICE Platinum F150 in May '21 and then placed a reservation for a Lightning in 7/21, thinking I will get my ICE and then a year or so later would trade it in for the Lightning.

I did finally receive my ICE Platinum a few months ago (19 months after ordering), stripped of some key features that meant a lot to me, and of course a lot of drama between Ford, my dealer, and me.

So I am wondering do I want to go through the ordering process again? I want an EV. I love driving my 150..

To all you I have a simple question, "Would you do it again?" And "Would you get the same configuration?"

Your insight would be appreciated.

I would absolutely do it again. I have a 23 lariat with extended battery, love it to death.

The only thing I might change, knowing what I know now is, I would consider leasing verse owning. Right now that seems to be a better deal.
