To each his own....

By the way, I am NOT saying you won't or can't get a PRO model(consult your dealer for details). However, Ford has been very upfront about limited availability of the PRO and we've all seen they are just hard to come by. The PRO buying process has been long and tedious to navigate for most. The XLT and especially Lariat trims are easier to come by. Just giving you options...
I have a text out to my dealer to get some clarification. I think ultimately I will wait for my order turn and see if a 22 pro is available, or if 23 is at my original reservation price. It sounds like neither will be options.

I actually am curious to know whether they were upfront with the limited availability at time of reservation. My recollection is that the limited availability wasn't clear until ordering opened up.

I would love to see any documentation from the original reservation period that indicated that the pro trim would be a limited promotional option. I just did a quick review of all emails from ford regarding my reservation and see no mention of limited availability for the pro. I also am not seeing any mention of that in any of the press release material.

Do you have any specific examples of Ford being "very upfront about limited availability of the pro"

I'm not seeing it, and I think it would be required for this to not be considered bait and switch tactics. Again, I'm not a lawyer. I do think most Americans are familiar with bait and switch law though, particularly when it comes to car sales.

Yeah..I'm not going to debate this once again.

This very subject(limited trim availability, etc) has been well known and well debated here over many months. All I can say is for MY22 Ford released information very early saying what trims they would produce in numbers related to one another. It showed their intention to produce quite a few Lariats as opposed to PRO trim. Was this based on user input, financial need, profit motive...you decide.

Its been known. debated, beat to death by now. Do your own research.. the search function on here is a wonderful tool.

Also, the reservation clearly states you are buying a place in line, NOT the specific rights to any truck or trim. Those decisions are totally at the whim of Ford.

Take it FWIW......

Good luck trying to make any sort of legal argument over a 'bait and switch'.

You would have received an email confirming your reservation that has a link to the terms and conditions of your reservation. Section 4 states the following in regards to trim

"Vehicle Specifications and Configuration
You understand that we may not have completed the development of the Vehicle or begun manufacturing the Vehicle at the time of your Reservation. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant to us that you understand that the Vehicle configuration may change prior to execution of a sales agreement between you and a Dealer."

The rest of the agreement makes it very clear that there's no guarantee on pricing and all pricing is set by the dealer and your reservation doesn't even guarantee that you'll get a vehicle delivered.
