Thank you for that explanation. I’m used to our Teslas. With our Teslas you can see which phones or Apple Watches are actively linked on the phone display window. As long as any one of the devices are in the car the car remains active.If the truck was started and running on your phone, I’d expect this. It’s not going to magically look for an alternate key when one goes away.
