The other big issue is on the scales delete, US customers get $650USD off while Canadian customers get $350CAD off for the same thing.
I wonder if selling to Canada is more of an obligation to Ford than a desire.

Looks like you made a smart choice.

The scales thing is odd, especially when you factor in the $$$ conversion rate.

Some disfunction with Ford communications, received the txt from Ford a few minutes ago and contacted the dealer last week to confirm the move to 2023. Got his email a few minutes ago

When I asked my dealer if my priority number has changed:
Ford placed it at priority 99. I don't quite understand why or how they do this, a question only they would answer. I am also being told they are pulling XLT's first.
I HOPE THEY ARE PUTTING SR XLT'S FIRST

Wishful thinking, doubtful though. If they did they would have more allocation available.

My order order was originally set for 8/10 build week slowly kept moving and now seems to be 10/3 build date. Dealer called and said it's all set and should arrive 30-60 days after 10/3.
Rapid red, XLT ER. spray in bed liner

I'm betting the spray in bed liner is what actually delayed the build. Relatively sure ER battery option is not a deal killer, however they do have more SR batteries to spend...

Not that it changes anything for you, but you can in fact leave the scales and smart hitch configured. It will delay your delivery. These are removed for the credit by default on '23 orders, but can be added back in for the time being. I think if too many have their dealer flip that switch, Ford may remove the option entirely.

The power running boards were removed from my configuration as they are totally unavailable now. At least they can be added later if I really want them as it seems to only be a short wait to order them as aftermarket from AMP.

Have any '23s even been scheduled for yet? I haven't been paying attention to scheduling, but I think production starts next month...

Do you happen to know the part numbers for those?

They’re the Power Step from AMP Research. Ford sells them with their logo on them, which are not available right now. Or you can buy through most accessory dealers or direct from AMP. You do have to drill a few holes but installing is not hard. That said I’d probably have them installed by the shop/dealer I buy from as it’s usually just easier and quicker to let them do it. I’ve installed them before on other trucks…

Got it, I found them on the AMP Research site (Sorry, I thought it was a Ford part). They aren't cheap are they, $2,099 plus install...ouch! That is for the Powerstep XL. All the other models don't have the Lightning listed and have this disclaimer which makes me wonder if they would work (Will not fit the F-150 PowerBoost). I wish the $200 upgrade from Ford was available :(

Yeah the power running boards are not cheap. Usually a better deal to get them with the truck.

Anyway…. Ford removed the scales and smart hitch from my config so it can be scheduled. They basically told me it had to be this way or it would delay my order indefinitely, possibly canceling the order. That said I’m hoping to be scheduled soon.
