Well... it just moved AGAIN... WAY BACK. Now it's 8/29/22... which means it could take at least another month or so to arrive.
That sucks. I just checked my order and it just moved up from 8/8 to 7/25. First time it has moved. I would say everything is still in flux so maybe in the end it won't actually be so late for you.

They needed to bump us poor SR guys back for those lucrative Wave 7 Lariat ER orders which are about to come in!

Apologies if I missed it, but has there been a non-dealer SR delivered yet?

Things are definitely in flux... I started at 6/13, then 7/25, then 8/3... then back to 7/25... and now 8.29.

Meanwhile I just visited the dealer and sat in one of the trucks that was definitely ordered much later than me.

I asked the dealer if their "priority" code has anything to do with it, but they said they had no control of schedules, which is probably not the case... or mine would've been there first... instead of where it seems to be headed, in October.

They claim everything is in Ford's hands, and they can't do anything about it.

I also asked them if I could change to a Lariat to speed things up, they said only Ford can do this. Of course, I've been emailing that question for months and they simply never responded. Meanwhile, when I asked Ford via the website, they said I could only change the order at the dealer... so it's a stalemate.

Funny thing is they are adding another wave and a lot still do not have a scheduled date, when would we be pushed to 2023? Hate to have a year old truck when new model years are coming out,

Traditionally, dealers start getting inventory for new model years starting in the fall, so they usually start building them in the summer, but clearly that's not happening with the Lightning.

My guess is they will try to build '22 models right until the end of the year so they can brag about how many they built the 1st year.

They'll be taking orders for 23 in a month or so, but based on how things are going, I'm also assuming anyone ordering a 23 won't get one until 24 at the earliest. After all, they think they can only build 150,000 per year, and they have over 200,000 orders for 22 to try to fill.

My original build date estimate was 8/8/22 but it moved to 7/25/22 a few weeks ago. I just received an email from Ford confirming the 7/25/22 date and giving me a VIN number. Obviously getting a VIN number is a good sign, but I am not sure what that really means in terms of certainty of build date etc.

That's a good sign. In fact, my build date moved yet again... from 8/29 to 8/8.

Original date: 6/13.. then moved several other times with 8/29 being the worst of them. Still not thrilled with August, but at least there's a slim chance I'll have it before the Summer ends.

From what we’ve seen on here it seems that until you get a window sticker with a blend date you are subject to rescheduling. I’ve had a VIN for all of my moves backward.
