While the early order might not come out first, they at least got the chance to order a Pro or XLT. Many would trade delivery dates to get the trim they really wanted.

I'd rather have an XLT SR and wait as I don't really want a Lariat.
Sort of forced to since that's the choice I got.

My XLT SR that was scheduled for 6/13 got bumped to 6/20.

It's ok...will deal. They are definitely prioritizing the higher trims.

Unfortunately though they sold so few standard range trucks they probably woulda had them all built by now and been able to focus on ER exclusively.

That's what I've observed and it's also why I'm eager to get that sticker online.

I know that the scheduling is all about Ford managing supplies/shipping for optimizing production and delivery efficiency and with the lightning there are limited build configurations/colors. With all that in mind it just seems not-right that some people who ordered in January are scheduled after people who ordered in late April, like they are cutting the line. Also, complaining about, or even saying anything about it feels like you are being spoiled (at least you got to order and will get your truck...just wait three or four months, instead of one or two).

To be fair, some of us that got to order in wave 6 were first 15 minute reservation holders, while quite a few (though calling you out specifically, I have no idea when you reserved) wave 1 orders reserved after us. I know someone who reserved in June and got a wave 3 invite with no priority, that was incredibly frustrating.

Like you said, it's probably all about logistics. Either way though, we have a great truck coming!

I would love to know how Ford has done scheduling. I'm in the boat where I didn't reserve until June, but found out recently that I was prioritized by my dealership and received a Wave 2 invite and ordered a Lariat SR. About a month ago, I changed trims to the Lariat ER, but am still sitting unscheduled. Not sure if I stayed with the SR that I would already be scheduled or not, but not sure if they are prioritizing trims for scheduling purposes. I also found out my dealership only had 6 allocations and I believe they are in the Top 100 Ford dealers by volume. They have 2 of the 6 built, 2 of 6 scheduled, and 2 of 6 waiting to be scheduled as of 2 weeks ago. I think reservation date and time may have played a factor in scheduling.

I would love to know how Ford has done scheduling.

There seems to be a lot of factors, but hold the faith your number is coming!!

The beauty of seeing all this shifting of build weeks is that more initial assignments should be coming shortly, in the past it happened middle of each month.

Now that we're past OKTB and deliveries are in process, I'd like to think the will be picking more orders to be assigned on a weekly rather than monthly basis, remains to be seen if this actually happens ..... if it does you may be surprised this afternoon or Friday.

Fingers Crossed just glad to see deliveries are finally happening and scheduling is still progressing even if I'm not selected. Just getting that much closer to getting mine. Hopefully dealer mannequin will be in soon, they hinted at being given the mannequin for 24hrsfor customers to test out.
