Take your driver out of the bag and lay it next to your bag.
Yep this is what I've done. I take my woods/driver out if I'm putting it in the frunk... even if I can get the bag with clubs in, the fit is tight enough I worry about the heads of the driver/woods snapping off in a bump.

My frunk is well organized.
I have my tennis bag, my pickleball bag, and a container for the excess BS that comes with those sports (hats, shoes, towels, etc).
As if 2 racket sports isn't enough, I've returned to golf.
This week I updated my 20 year old driver...
and...
I decided to organize the frunk and include my golf bag up there.
[cue the downer music]
My golf bag, with new driver (which is actually a 1/2" short of standard) does not fit.
Sure if I angle it, but then other gear is then a non-starter.
Oh well, the gear will stay separate: racket sports in the frunk, golf in the the aft cabin.
There is a chance if I did some sort of shelf toward the front it my fit in the indention...I just don't know if it is worth that effort.

Ford advertised that two golf bags would fit, but who ever wrote that blurb had not played golf for 30 years
I just noticed for the first time the Easter egg of two golf bags next to each other on the roof of the frunk in the right side interior.

This Forum is just like having Ai. Almost all the answers are here already and here is what Ai said. :)
Here are a few options to consider for transporting your golf club:
  1. Adjust the Club Configuration: If your golf club has a removable head, you could try detaching it to fit the club more easily in your frunk.
  2. Use the Rear Cab or Bed: Since the frunk might be too small, you can place your golf club in the rear cab or the bed of your Ford Lightning. If you have a cover for the bed, it will protect your club from the elements.
  3. Roof Rack or Carrier: Installing a roof rack or a specific carrier designed for sports equipment can be a practical solution. These are especially useful if you frequently need to transport larger items.
  4. Diagonal Placement: Depending on the layout of your frunk, you might be able to place the golf club diagonally. This sometimes provides the extra length needed to accommodate longer items.
  5. Aftermarket Accessories: Look into aftermarket accessories designed for your vehicle. There might be specially designed storage solutions that can help you transport sports equipment more efficiently.
  6. Fold-down Seats: If your pickup has fold-down seats or a pass-through option, you could utilize this space to accommodate the length of your golf club.

I leave the Frunk 100% empty all the time. Then, when I buy a full cart worth of groceries at Market Basket in Westbrook Maine on my way to our camp in Casco, I know there's pleanty of room for everything in the Frunk. The Cooler goes in the Frunk Well, and the groceries go all around it.
I jam about $300 worth of groceries in it weekly from MB in NH. Never fails to generate a comment from folks walking by
