My order for the Lightning has arrived at my selected dealership. I have decided to not purchase the vehicle at this time and have ordered a 2023 F-250 Super Duty instead. The dealership has now put the Lightning up for sale at the MSRP + $5000. My current 2020 F-150 is RR and I love it. I wanted something different with the new truck. My order for the 2023 F-250 Super Duty will be AMB.

I've contacted a handful of dealers and found that many are still disillusioned. I believe they're starting to realize they might be hosed on the vehicles that are ineligible for the tax credit due to too high an MSRP. It will probably take another month or two of them not moving all their Lightnings before some of them realize it though. Of course the buyer of a $100,000 Platinum may not care about $5,000.

So they must have told you they have no intention of correcting the missing removed items through an FSA (Field Service appointment) when the missing chips or parts are available.
