I need new tires soon for my 22 Platinum, so I’m curious if the ride is any smoother with these? My general grabber’s are not smooth at certain highway speeds.

I've always liked the ride and reliability of higher profile tires. So, switched to new Firestone Transforce LT275/70R18's, on a set of nice used aluminum spoked wheels on to which I'd installed Ford TPMS sensor valve stems.

It was kind of amazing, but the Lighting TPMS system detected the new TPMS sensors and automatically registered them on my 2023 Lightning XLT. Much easier than for other vehicles I've dealt with that needed TPMS sensor tools, etc. to reset them.

To me the higher profile tires are more durable and protect the wheels better from off-road damage than lower profile tires with larger diameter aluminum wheels. Overall these 18" wheels/tires seem slightly larger in overall diameter and look truck-like.

True, but I just spent $1900 on tires and didn't want to spend an additional $1600 on wheels.
