No drive mode

A couple of times for no apparent reason the truck will display drive mode not available. It has happened while I was in sport mode but that is the only similarity. When I look at the screen it show that it is in none of the drive modes but still drives. It will not allow me to select a drive mode. After a short distance it will go into normal and I can select the mode I want. I doesnt seem serious enough to warrant a trip to the dealer but I only have a few hundred miles on it. Anyone have this problem or has it escalated into something serious?

in 36,000+ miles mine has done this many times, and there is no 'reason' for something that is currently happening to explain 'what' the condition is that causes it to 'default' back to NORMAL mode... either way, it's not any deal breaker, it's just an annoyance. It typically is either immediately available to reset to SPORT mode, or will stay grayed out for a while, then goes back 'normal'... either while still driving, or after stopping, gear change, etc.

Bumps don't cause it.
Speed doesn't have anything to do with it.
Towing doesn't affect it.
Nothing comes to mind that would explain it. Computers. Love um. Hate um.

Correlation for this issue on my MachE was that it was hot AF in Phoenix summer when the drive modes would glitch out. Like the car's thermometer was registering 140F+. After driving for a bit the temp reading would cool and drive modes would come back.

After a few OTAs it never happened again, so never really was sure of the cause.
