They lost $1.2 Billions on EVs just last quarter. I am sure there is a lot of pressure in those board meetings to fix this fast or just spend a fraction of that money on lobbying for Hybrids and keeping Chinese out. Stock is down 8.44% today.I am sure Ford is working on a “platform“ for future EV models. I think that’s probably what the skunk works team is doing?? (in addition to battery technology )It only makes sense because EV’s are the future and Ford is not going to be caught with their pants down again!
Ford is paying dues early on EV adoption. We all know it's the future. Good time to buy Ford stock. They lost $1.2 Billions on EVs just last quarter. Making money off of inefficient EVs is hard. Heck Lucid found out even efficient expensive ones are not that profitable.
Got some on the last dip ($9.75) but it is going to be tough to compete with Chinese and Koreans. It will be interesting to see how Skunk Works is going to beat a $10K BYD Seagull without U.S. government protection.Ford is paying dues early on EV adoption. We all know it's the future. I don't know if it is a fair enough game to call it a competition. China is subsidizing exports. US doesn't have a choice to not protect our market. The competition will be domestic IMO.Got some on the last dip ($9.75) but it is going to be tough to compete with Chinese and Koreans.
