I think I'm the odd one out that they're trying to win over. New to Ford and full size trucks!

Also 36 if it matter, so I guess I'm a bit younger than their target demographic?
36 here as well, also new to Ford and Full-sized trucks (if I follow through when they invite me to order).

These results are honestly pretty surprising - 130+ votes and nearly 30% of people are new to both Ford and full size trucks. I would never have expected that many people to be jumping into the full size truck category with the Lightning.

For those that are part of the 30%, why hadnt you considered a full size truck before? Or what makes you consider one now? Is it irrelevant it's a truck but rather just your preferred EV?

I am new to both Ford and trucks. I have always been concerned about the fuel inefficiency of trucks, especially when I don't need a "truck" for most of my day to day driving. By buying a Lightning I can finally have a truck with less guilt and help spur along the whole electric truck market.

While I'm not new to Ford, they think I am. I have an E-350 based motorhome and an F-250... but Ford doesn't know I own them (I'm not registered as their owner with Ford). So their numbers could be way off - a lot of their customers that purchased used may not be reflected as owners.

I never considered a full size truck. The Lightning was the only EV truck I could actually buy. I only use my existing truck to haul a motorcycle, take stuff to the landfill, and haul a few things from Home Depot now and then. I've only towed a UHaul moving trailer once. A midsize fits me much better. I'm hoping to adjust to a full size.

The Rivian is actually my perfect truck, but who knows when/if I could get one. I also have worries that fixing a Rivian out of warranty will be a hassle and/or ridiculously expensive just as it is with Tesla. The fact that Ford is an established automaker and that many parts are shared with the ICE F150 is important to me.

My Lightning feels very familiar to me as this is my fourth F150. Much better handling and of course the acceleration is great. I'm glad that Ford stuck with the buttons that are easy on the steering wheel and for the heat and AC. So nice to not hunt through a screen for every little thing. My cap fit on this truck perfectly as the bed is the same as other F150 trucks.
