In case others run into this situation needing to adjust your order after receiving a build date.

Was informed yesterday (11/29/2022) that my PRO is scheduled for production week of 1/9/2023. I had Max Tow, Pro Power, and Spray in bed liner, but didn't have the Tow Tech package. As others have pointed out, there is no brake controller included installed unless you have the Tow Tech package. Entirely possible it could be added after the fact, but I'd rather have it from day one if I can.

Emailed my dealer, and they were able to add it to my order and sent along the updated build summary.

Things to note;
- The new build summary reflects the updated base price (went from $46,974 to $51,974) but I was told in writing that the Private Offer will be applied at time of sale to bring cost back to original base price.
- Tow Tech package added $1950, might have been cheaper if I'd added it back when I placed the order, but worth it to know I can actually tow to the limit of the lightning safely from day 1.
- Another interesting note is that by adding the Tow Tech package, my order sheet now shows -$650 for ONBOARD SCALE/SMART HITCH RMVL. Maybe that was going to be included as standard equipment?

Since I've only got standard range I have no illusions about going long distances towing, but am looking forward to borrowing my brother in laws dump trailer and hauling large loads of compost around!

Good luck to all the others out there with build dates coming up.

If you deferred a MY22 reservation original your MSRP should've been $39,974 before options. When we placed our deferred MY22 orders Ford told us we'd receive MY22 pricing for a MY23 truck. Price increased twice for MY23, $7,000 before Wave 1 and they tacked an additional $5,000 after our orders went in. It's my understanding that a PCO should cover the first, and a price adjustment should happen for the second that the dealer gets reimbursed for later. Long McArtur made a video describing how the process should work.. My latest build sheet also shows price increases in all of the options since placing my order (~$600 increase total), not sure if/how this will be adjusted as window sticker will show the highest price. Onboard scales were removed from all trims due to chip shortage.

I have a build week of 12/19 for my PRO.

Thanks boggle, you are 100% right.

I had a MY22 reservation with the original MSRP of $39,974. Ordered when it went up to $46,974 and was told in writing I'd get the $7000 PCO to bring it to original price. Most recent order sheet now shows the current base pricing of $51,974. Hopefully my dealer honors the price adjustment. Keeping my fingers crossed that I really will be getting the unicorn of a PRO at the original price!

Dealer should apply the price adjustment as it is automatically written into the order and is refunded directly by Ford. Getting the PCO applied is the tricky one as a dealer can play dumb but you seem to have already confirmed it in writing.

Here's to hoping our build/delivery schedules aren't horrible.

That’s interesting, I got an email yesterday as well saying my truck was scheduled for production the week of January 16. I wanted to make a change too (add 9.6kW Pro Power Onboard) but was told by my dealer that changes couldn’t be made since a VIN had been assigned. Any idea how your dealer got it done? I had been meaning to call the dealer to make the change but prior to yesterday’s email I had been told to expect delivery in the fall, so I thought I had plenty of time.

Here is what my dealer rep said in her email, "The only way to know is to try, so I did! I was able to submit it. I attached the new build summary!".

Ask your dealer to try, if it doesn't work fine, but mine was able to submit it and it was accepted. May depend on availability of parts?

If you add or change anything to your order after a price increase (the $5000 increase in October) your order will update to that increase. My dealer warned me twice about that when I made an update in August. Luckily in August the only price was the $46974 so my order price did not change. While your $7000 private offer is indeed safe it may now come off the $51974 not the $46974.

Yeah, hopefully boggle is right and they just price adjust the $5000 and still honor the PCO. I'm living in hope that is what happens. We'll see what my dealer says about it.

Do let us know what happens. As others mentioned if they resubmitted the order to add the Tow Tech and received a new DORA you're probably SOL as your "order date" would change and the reimbursement would fall off. $6,950 is an expensive tow package. Wonder what happens if somebody wants to add something trivial like floor mats after order.

I'll keep ya'll in the loop. Hopefully they are able to sort it all out. If not maybe I'll be driving my Prius for another couple hundred thousand miles and getting an EV later than I thought.

As a Pro owner w/o the Tow Tech Package, I can say you made the right decision. My gripe about not adding that is well documented in the 7/11 thread.

The fact that you're getting the scale removal is even better as it makes it cheaper.

It is NOT the trailer brake that's important here. It's the 360 lighting, especially if you want to add OEM running board or power running boards down the road. It'll save you the headache and activate a couple of the connectors.

Additionally if you're brave enough, FORSCAN can activate additional assists features as you now have 360 cameras.

Here is the update from my dealer rep.

"That is correct! The build summary/window sticker changed before I added the tow tech package! You will be price protected from the 2023 price increase as well as your initial private offer!"

So yeah, if your dealer is awesome you'll get the PCO and you won't pay the $5,000 recent increase.
